Emotional Transformation Therapy (ETT)

Emotional Transformation Thearpy, ETT™ utilizes the frequencies of light and color to support processing of issues as well as retrain the mind.  It can aid in releasing emotional blocks, resulting in deeper understanding and states of well-being. During ETT™ a resonance occurs within the mind/body when light/color is converted to biochemical signals that promote positive thought and emotional shifts.  All resulting in effective change and ultimately a life worth celebrating.  I served as the first President of ETTIA and I am certified as an ETT Master Practitioner. .

Emotional Transformation Therapy is solidly anchored in attachment style theory.  It strives to match the client's attachment style with an appropriate cognitive connection to deepen and enrich the therapy experience as well as optimize its outcome.  The therapist can choose from 4 distinct tools that utilize light and color in complimentary ways:

  • offering immediate feedback for emotional flooding or dissociation

  • quickly lowering PTSD symptoms to single incident traumas

  • rapidly modifying anxiety and stress in the body

  • effectively supporting emotional and mental processing of issues

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR Anchor

EMDR is a highly effective and evidenced based technique for resolving trauma, internal cognitive distortions, addictions, mood disorders, and a variety of other mental health issues. It aids in changing the brain’s information processing ability.  I was an early adopter and trained in both EMDR levels and advanced protocols of EMDR.

EMDR therapy is an 8-phase treatment. Eye movements (or other bilateral stimulation) are used during part of the session.  With the eyes moving rapidly as in REM sleep, it is believed that internal associations arise and the client begins to process memories and disturbing feelings.  In a successful session, the meaning of painful events is transformed on an emotional level and cognitively reframed to a positive and empowering belief. www.EMDRIA.org
